Welcoming Our New Sunflower Sanctuary Project Co‑ordinator

Sophie Kibirge
We are thrilled to welcome Sophie Kibirge to the Starchild family as our new Project Co-ordinator at the Sunflower Sanctuary in Jinja.
Sophie brings a wealth of experience in nursing and social work, combined with a deep commitment to community development and child welfare. Her compassion, professionalism, and ability to connect with families on a personal level make her a remarkable addition to our team.
Already, Sophie has begun her work with dedication and vision — compiling a detailed report on disability in the surrounding area, engaging with local councils, elders, and community leaders, and identifying new ways Starchild can strengthen its impact across Jinja and Malindi.
Her presence at the Sunflower Sanctuary embodies the heart of what Starchild stands for: healing, creativity, inclusion, and love in action.
We are delighted to have Sophie with us and look forward to seeing all she will help bring to life as this beautiful project continues to grow.
